The Annual Denver Comic Con event was held June 15-17th at the Colorado Convention Center. River Deep Alliance was generously offered passes from the event organizers so that wounded Veterans and families of Operation TBI Freedom and the Warrior Transition Battalion at Ft. Carson could attend for no cost. We had over about 150 wounded veterans and family members attend. Everyone had a blast visiting the events and activities that included a diverse range of topics around pop culture and literary interests for all ages. There were hundreds of exhibitors, 3 main event stages, 25 session rooms, and almost 750 hours of celebrity Q&As, panels, workshops, and demos!
Just some of the feedback:
“Thank you! It was a total blast!” - K. Wagner
“Had a great time!!!! The Kid’s loved it! Thank you!” – J. Fernandez
Special thank you to Becky Walde and Dave Hysmith for the passes and for Susan and Chuck Williamson for connecting us and to Jesus Guerra and Scott Huyvaert for outreach and coordination.
