Location: Art Students League of Denver, Denver, CO.
Hosted By: River Deep Foundation and SCI HOP
Participants: Craig Hospital & Ft. Carson Warrior Transition Battalion

It's our first art class of the year, and the classroom is full of enthusiastic students. All of the necessary supplies were laid out on the tables, we took our seats, and our instructors went to work. The creative juices were flowing and the students had many prints to take home and showcase.

We always have a great time at the Art Students League of Denver, and look forward to next months class. A big thanks to all the staff and volunteers who made today's class possible.

It's always a fun day learning how to fence. At the Denver Fencing Center, its also quite a workout. We started with basic instruction, suited up, and the competition began. We kept score, which added to the competitiveness and fun. We also had a chance to challenge our instructors.
It's been a great day, and we look forward to coming back. A big thanks to the Denver Fencing Center, and everyone who volunteered their time to make it possible.

October 12, 2019

Location: Valhalla Hunt Club, Bennett, CO.
Hosted By: River Deep Foundation and SCI HOP
Participants: Craig Hospital, Colorado School of Mines and Quality of Life Plus

We started the day with a tune-up at the trap range. We are testing out adaptive equipment, shooting prototypes from the Colorado School of Mines, and the students are anxious to try them out. Everyone will have the same amount of time shooting some clays.

At noon, we headed to the Valhalla Hunt Clubhouse for lunch, where we were treated to pheasant casserole and some delicious side dishes. After lunch, we headed up to the tall grass for a pheasant hunt. Gun dogs and hunters, all excited to flush some birds into the sky and hopefully some into the vest.

At the end of the day, we managed to bring a few birds home, and equally as important, everyone had a great day outdoors in the sun. A big thanks to Valhalla Hunt Club and staff, and all the volunteers who made this outing possible.

October 7th, 2019

Location: Meridian Golf Club, Englewood, CO.
Hosted By: River Deep Foundation and SCI HOP

It's our first, but not last, golf tournament to show support for River Deep and all the great organizations we are fortunate enough to support such as OperationTBI Freedom, Craig Hospital, and Ft. Carson Warrior Transition Battalion.

Last year, we provided over 60 outings for wounded Vets and persons with disabilities. From art classes to fishing, hunting, archery, fencing, equine therapy, and many more over the course of a year. We appreciate and want to thank everyone who participated and donated to a great day on the golf course.
We look forward to seeing everyone at upcoming RIver Deep events. A big thanks to the Meridian Golf Club for all the help.

Location: Cottonwood Center for the Arts, Colorado Springs, CO.
Hosted By: River Deep Foundation and SCI HOP
Participants: Operation TBI Freedom

Last Tuesday we had a lot fun in the mask making class at the Cottonwood Center for the Arts. Our instructor and artist, Tamara Herl, led us on an amazing journey thru meditation that provided us with ideas and inspiration that helped us to decorate our masks. She taught us to express our choices.

The whole experience was a lot fun and you can see the unique final product of our work.

October 5th, 2019

Location: Lincoln Hills Fly Fishing Club, Black Hawk, CO.
Hosted By: River Deep Foundation and SCI HOP
Participants: Craig Hospital,Operation TBI Freedom & Ft. Carson Warrior Transition Battalion

It's the final fishing outing for the year, and we have a packed house of people all ready to learn how to fly fish and try their luck on the ponds and streams of Lincoln Hills. We started with instruction on the basics,
geared up and are assigned our guides for the day.

Whether it's the stream or the pond, everyone had hookups with some big rainbow and cutthroat trout. After a morning of fishing, we gathered back at the deck of the eco center, and are treated to a fantastic BBQ lunch.

It's been a great day and season with the Anglers of Honor program at Lincoln Hills. A big thanks to all the guides, volunteers and everyone who made it possible.
